A Europe Goes Local nemzetközi együttműködés éves konferenciája olyan, ifjúsági szakemberek és fiatalok* tapasztalatcseréjét teszi lehetővé, akik vidéki, kevesebb lehetőséghez jutó régiókban végzik ifjúsági munkájukat a fiatalok helyi részvételének elősegítése érdekében. 

A jelentkezéshez csak a magyar nyelvű jelentkezési lapot szükséges kitölteni, a SALTO jelentkezési lap erre az eseményre nem áll rendelkezésre.

Kinek szól?

Ifjúságsegítők, ifjúsági szakemberek, önkormányzati ifjúságügyekért felelős munkatársak, döntéshozók, kortárs ifjúsági érdekképviseletben, ifjúsági részvétel területén aktív fiatalok jelentkezését várjuk.

Detailed description of the event:

This event is the 8th European network conference of the strategic cooperation Europe Goes Local. This year marks a special edition, as it is the first time the conference is co-organized with and co-hosted by a European Youth Capital. In 2026, Tromsø hosts the EGL Event, inspiring the conference theme through the goals of its European Youth Capital programme, True North 2026.
The European EGL Event of 2026 aims to contribute to ongoing European discussions and to facilitate peer learning with a focus on the role of youth work in supporting youth participation in local communities facing geographical obstacles. These communities may be located in remote or rural areas, small islands, peripheral regions, or less-serviced municipalities, where tailored strategies are needed to support youth engagement in community life. During the event, participants will reflect on the specific approaches municipal-level youth work requires in these parts of Europe, as well as on models for engaging young people in the life of their communities.

Objectives:

• to discuss what meaningful local youth participation entails in remote, less privileged or rural areas by exploring (legal) frameworks, (alternative) formats, platforms, tools, and channels, as well as the supporting role of youth work,
• to exchange views and present existing models for overcoming obstacles to engaging young people in shaping local communities and ensuring their voices are heard,
• to showcase how Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps can support meaningful youth participation in local communities, and the role youth work plays in this ecosystem,
• to gather input for European consultations on the EU Youth Strategy 2028-2034,
• to celebrate the community of practice that has developed steadily during the last decade, as the Europe Goes Local project marks its 10th anniversary in 2026.

Profile of participants:
The event will bring together about 120 participants with the following profiles: 

• Municipality-representatives from remote and less privileged areas of Europe (including its overseas territories): elected politicians responsible for youth policy; municipal staff working on youth (work) affairs at the municipality 
• Young people active in the local community, members of local youth councils, youth NGOs and those who take active part in local advocacy and community building outside formalized participation structures 
• Representatives of local youth work organizations that actively collaborate with municipalities and are situated in remote or less privileged communities. 
• Youth work experts who actively collaborate with municipalities in creating youth work policy and strategy, especially focusing on the engagement of young people in community life. 
• Representatives of European institutions and NGOs actively supporting youth work and youth policy development in remote and less privileged areas of Europe 
• The national coordinators of Europe Goes Local within National Agencies and regional SALTO Centres. 

National delegations: Each Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps National Agency that is a member of Europe Goes Local cooperation can send a delegation of three participants to the event: two delegates from local communities and the EGL coordinator from the National Agency. Outside this call, a limited number participants will be invited extra to the above described national delegations to present their inspiring practice run on local level.

Communication and digital engagement 

Participants of the event will be invited to the digital internal communication tool of Europe Goes Local, powered by Workvivo. This platform allows participants to communicate with each other and with the organizers before, during, and after the event. It also provides an opportunity to stay connected with the broader EGL online community. 

Online onboarding session before the event: An online onboarding session will be offered prior to the event (date to be set after selection of participants) to help participants get to know each other, kick-off discussions on the key themes, and learn how to use the conference’s digital platform. 

Practicalities 
Venue and accommodation: Radisson Blu Hotel, Tromso, Sjogata 7- Po Box 928 
All participants will be accommodated in single rooms from the 2nd to the 5th of June. On the arrival day (2nd of June) the program starts with dinner. Departure can be arranged from the morning on 5th of June. 

Financial aspects: 
The costs of full board and lodging, the meeting rooms and materials, the facilitation and expert fees and the travel costs of participants are covered by the National Agencies of the Erasmus+ Program and the European Solidarity Corps. 
Travels must be arranged between the participants and the sending National Agencies which will cover travel costs according to their internal rules. 

How to apply?

• Please fill out the hungaria application form above, putting special focus on your experience, motivation and expectations linked to the focus of the European EGL Event 2026.
• Deadline for submitting the application form: 13th April 2026.
• Notification and registration of the selected participants is foreseen until the 15th of April on a central link to be provided by the organisers. Selected participants will be informed and the registration link will be sent on 14th April the latest

A részvétel költségei: 

A résztvevők nemzetközi utazását, ill. biztosítási költségeit a Tempus Közalapítvány, a külföldi szállás és étkezés, valamint a programhoz kapcsolódó költségeket a fogadó nemzeti iroda vagy a szervező fedezi.

A résztvevő, a programra történő utazása során felmerülő egyéb utazási költségeket (transzfer költségek)- mint a programhoz történő résztvevői hozzájárulást - fizeti. Amennyiben a transzfer költségek együttes összege a 10.000 forintot meghaladja, úgy a Közalapítvány egyéni kérelem benyújtását követően - egyedi elbírálás alapján - a 10.000 forint feletti összeget megtéríti a résztvevő részére.

Felhívjuk a jelentkezők figyelmét, hogy az utazás megszervezése a Tempus Közalapítvány hatáskörébe tartozik. Az esetlegesen felmerülő többletköltségeket a Tempus Közalapítvány nem állja, a keletkezett károkért felelősséget nem vállal.
